The Reaching Out Project
Who & Why

The Reaching Out Project operates directly on the ground in Cambodia, supporting schools, children, and communities. Our aim is to prevent children from dropping out of school and to provide them with an education in child-friendly schools under sustainable teaching and living conditions. We strive to improve their mental health and break the cycle of poverty. We seek solutions to ensure all children have access to schools and education, battling poverty and mental health disorders.
Our non-profit organisation, established and registered in Greece, operates without intermediaries. We personally provide help and support to children, schools, and communities. We are present in Cambodian communities, working hand in hand with those we serve, going door to door and standing shoulder to shoulder with families, children, and teachers to understand the real problems and find the best solutions to ensure that children attend school and do not abandon their studies due to the challenging conditions in which they live.

Put simply, Childrens needs cannot wait

Children are most affected.  They are forced to low-labour work from a very young age to support their families and stuck in a cycle of permanent poverty, unable to find a way out. Education is the only way to break this cycle of poverty. The Reaching out Project was established to provide that pathway, through education so that this generation has more opportunities for a better future and along with our trusted partners on this journey, we are dedicated to this cause having already made significant strides. Without hesitation, we are rapidly implementing our holistic strategic plan to achieve our objectives.

Children in school are at the heart of our actions

Our partners in Cambodia, Europe, Canada and Asia support us in achieving this goal.

When we are in Europe, we raise awareness about the situation and gather the resources needed together with our partners in Greece, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Thailand. As we know the situation of children in Cambodia firsthand, we inform our supporters about the real problems we encounter and discuss the resources required to solve these problems. It is as simple as that.

While in Cambodia, we maintain direct communication with children, teachers, and families within their communities. We address not only daily issues but also work towards the development of a holistic plan to ensure that children can get to school and fight the poverty that is so prevalent in these communities.
We invest in improving their mental and psychological health, transforming them into tomorrow’s leaders who will be valuable to their country and society. As a non-political and impartial organisation, we are deeply committed to providing children with what they deserve: education and a better life, now and in the future. And we will never give up.
We made our decision in 2022, following our trip to Cambodia, and our organisation was established in 2023. We immediately proceeded to take action, supporting schools, children, and communities in Cambodia, and making a tremendous impact on their lives.
The Reaching out Project has already accomplished significant achievements, making a substantial impact on children’s lives, serve as a catalyst for future change. Our first milestone arrived on 28th September 2023, with the Delivery Ceremony Event (On YouTube) at Wat Sdei Primary School, Cambodia.

Without our intervention, almost certainly these children would have dropped out of school.

We have already succeeded encouraging children to continue their education, provided additional help to their families who cannot afford to buy even the most basic needs.

Our actions and aims are not limited to this school in particular, we sought out and visited many poor communities and schools. Currently, we are already supporting five schools, more than 1000 children, and at least seven different communities. Our mission continues to grow in scope; the sense of responsibility increasing along with it. But as long as the number of children smiling also continues to grow, already feeling the positive impact on their lives, we know that we are succeeding.
